RRC - official distributor of Motorola Home & Networks Mobility
Posting Date 26.05.2009 09:42
RRC Joins Motorola Home & Networks Mobility EMEA Channel Program as Value Added Distributor. Recognized as a strategic partner, RRC will promote, support and sell key Motorola video and broadband products throughout Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe.
The RRC Company, a pan-European specialized IT distributor,  today announced it has become a key member of Motorola’s new Home & Networks Mobility EMEA Channel Program.   Already a successful member of Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions “Partner Select” program, RRC will now also promote and sell a wide range of products from Motorola’s Home & Networks Mobility business including modems and wired access solutions, IPTV and video solutions, and wireless broadband access solutions to Value Added Resellers (VARs) in the program.  These products will allow end customers including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), alternative carriers and regional service providers to create next generation digital home networks.

RRC’s Mobility Division will be responsible for business development and will distribute Motorola products throughout the territories of Russia, CIS and EE countries, which include  Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Serbia and Slovenia. The Division has solid expertise and a well-developed channel for promoting such solutions. The value added distribution will be traditionally used to support sales – within this model Motorola partners are offered quite a number of additional services aimed at increasing their competitive advantage on the market. The services include training, special partners’ programs, support in project development and realization.

Evaluating perspectives of the agreement, RRC Chief Operating Officer Mikhail Kossilov commented that the market of such services is full of potential. In Europe the triple play concept (TV, telephony and Internet access) is almost a standard. However, in Eastern Europe the situation is different and there are lots of development possibilities. The same in Russia - before the financial recession leading Russian providers more than once mentioned that they are investing into this market segment. There are no reasons, however, to think that the current economic situation will dramatically change their plans since such services are a new way of increasing profitability without changing existing infrastructure and a possibility to gain additional competitive advantages on the market – and it is very well understood by the market leaders.

Moreover, Russian government is currently working on spreading digital TV all over the country, and that means that in the nearest future the set-top box market will be boosting. According to analytical reports, by 2012 the number of IPTV subscribers in Russia will reach 3,7 million. It is possible that economic situation will affect their forecast, but it is worth mentioning that by today about 1 million subscribers in Russia already have access to different digital services.

“Motorola is pleased to welcome RRC a key member of our new Home & Networks Mobility Channel program,” said Stephane Cohen, Head of Indirect Channel Strategy, H&NM EMEA, Motorola, Inc.  “RRC is a highly respected distributor with a clear view of what the Eastern European market wants and needs – especially when it comes to broadband, cable TV and wireless networking.   Like Motorola, RRC sees the promise of triple play and other digital services and understands what providers of cable TV, broadband and wireless networks require in order to develop their business and satisfy subscribers.  We’re excited to work with RRC to open new horizons of communications across Europe.”
